Community.com, an SMS SaaS platform, launched Amplify—an initiative designed to uplift small businesses from underrepresented communities by providing them with a direct texting channel to connect with their customers. In honor of Latinx Heritage Month, Community sought to expand Amplify by supporting Latinx-owned businesses in Southern California

Role: Campaign Strategy, Video Production, Creative Direction, Storyboarding & Scripting

Objective

I was responsible for leading the rollout and execution of the Amplify campaign. My focus was on building awareness, announcing the selected businesses, and educating audiences on how to engage with them through Community’s texting platform. This included shaping the creative direction, crafting campaign messaging, and establishing a strategic content cadence.

Process

Developed a storytelling-driven campaign strategy to introduce Amplify and its mission.

Led creative direction and copywriting for a series of social media posts across Community’s platforms.

Partnered with two Latinx business owners to capture their stories, highlight their entrepreneurial journeys, and showcase how they leveraged Community’s SMS technology.

Designed a phased content approach: teasing the campaign, announcing selected businesses, and educating audiences on how to connect with them via text.

Amplify LatinX became the model for content and execution for all future initiatives, expanding to support AAPI, Pride, and Black-owned businesses
